Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS
Low pressure just SE of Georges Bank will track NE toward Newfoundland Island tonight and Thu. Meanwhile a weaker low will track NE near the Maine coast and Bay of Fundy tonight. High pressure will build over the waters Thu and Thu night, then shift SE early Fri as a cold front moves to the coast. The cold front will move SE across the waters Fri into Fri night. Then on Sat and Sat night another front will move E over the waters, and then stall near the southern waters Sat and Sat night. A series of weak lows is expected to track E over the waters along the stalled front Sun, with the front then lifting N as a warm front Sun night. On Mon and Mon night a stronger front is expected to progress E over the waters.
