SYNOPSIS FOR THE TIDAL POTOMAC AND MD PORTION OF THE CHESAPEAKE BAY

A weak cold front will drift southward across the waters today. High pressure will arrive late tonight into Thursday before moving offshore early Friday. A warm front moves through on Friday while a backdoor front stays well north of the area this weekend. Small Craft Advisories may be needed at times this weekend. Boaters should be aware of the threats of boating in cold water, even when air temperatures are warm. Visit weather.gov/safety/coldwater for more information.
