Synopsis for Massachusetts and Rhode Island coastal waters

Low pressure develops just south of New England Thursday, then intensifies into a gale center Friday, as it pivots west into NY state and Pennsylvania. Friday night the low tracks south of New England and then re-intensifies Saturday, as it moves east of Massachusetts towards the maritimes. NW gales are possible Saturday and Sunday. Winds ease Monday, as a ridge of high pressure moves across New England. A cold front may then sweep across the waters Monday night or Tuesday, followed by gusty NW winds late Tue into Wed.
