.Synopsis for the southern California coast and Santa Barbara Channel including the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary and National Park...at 03Z, or 7 PM PST, a 1022 mb surface high was located 250 NM SW of Los Angeles and a 964 mb surface low was 500 NM NW of Seattle. Steep seas will affect northern portions of the coastal waters through Thursday evening. Rain showers will impact most of the waters beginning Friday night and lasting at least through the weekend.
